About Warrior Lines Tattoo
Built out of necessity.
Warrior Lines Tattoo was born out of necessity—out of a need to change an industry that too often closes its doors to anyone who doesn’t fit a narrow idea of what a tattoo artist “should be.” For years, the tattoo world has been guarded by gatekeeping, secrecy, and a belief that knowledge must only be earned through hardship and struggle. If you weren’t part of the right crowd, you weren’t welcomed. If you didn’t look, act, or talk a certain way, you didn’t belong.
I experienced that firsthand.
When I moved to Utah to pursue my dream and provide for my family, I ran into walls built by more established artists and shop owners. Opportunities were withheld. Knowledge was gatekept. The path forward was intentionally difficult. And while struggle can build strength, gatekeeping only builds barriers.
This mentality hasn’t just hurt artists—it has damaged the reputation of tattoo shops everywhere. People still hear “tattoo shop” and imagine a dark room, harsher art, and vulgar personalities. And while those spaces still exist—and that’s their chosen vibe—tattooing today comes in countless colors, atmospheres, and levels of professionalism.
For me, I knew something had to change.
Experience is essential in becoming a great tattoo artist, but you cannot gain experience if no one is willing to teach you. You cannot build a portfolio if shops refuse to give you the opportunity to tattoo. You cannot grow if knowledge is locked away.
So I created Warrior Lines Tattoo to be different.
I opened this studio as a place where artists can learn freely, grow in confidence, and feel safe, appreciated, and encouraged to do their best work. A place where knowledge is shared, where guidance is offered, and where the only requirements are passion, dedication, and respect.
As a veteran, I learned the value of those who choose to stand beside you. As a Polynesian, I was raised to honor others, respect their story, and serve wherever I am needed. These core parts of who I am drive everything I do. They push me to rise, to excel, and to help others do the same.
No man left behind.
That’s what I live by.
Warrior Lines Tattoo is built on service, purpose, and respect. This studio exists for the artists who weren’t given a fair chance, for the clients who want meaning in their tattoos, and for anyone who believes in doing things with intention and heart.
This isn’t just a tattoo shop.
It’s a community.
A team.
A mission.
And everyone who walks through these doors becomes part of the story.
Lastly, and on a more personal note, I am a family man through and through. I have little warriors at home depending on me to not only provide but lead by example. I have no choice but to succeed.
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Phil 4:13
Many thanks,
Hans.
